Weather
Remember that Cyprus is located in the Mediterranean Basin – with warm climate – summers are here warm and dry, similarly to the winters. Because of tht we cannot forget about protection of our skin and head from UV. The hottest moths, in regard to the temperatures as well as the numbers of visitors, are summer months – July and August and characterised not only by at least 30oC everyday, but also large numbers of tourists and high prices. If it is possible, we should visit Cyprus rather in autumn or even winter months, when everything is cheaper and there are many different Cypriot festivals and celebrations taking place. Duriong the summer we should choose light and sheer clothes, forget about long sleeves and legs, or built-up shoes everywhere axcept for Troodos. During the winter months the temperature is about 10-15 oC and only then we would need linen trousers or light jacket. Cyprus does not have its own reservoirs, water is imported from other countries and in the taps we have water that is appropriate for the immediate use (additional tap in the kitchen). We have to remeber about drinking a lot because that may save us from hyperthermia and dehydration. We also have to remeber that the electric sockets in Cyprus are similar to those in Great Britain so we would need appropriate connectors for the devices brought from other European countries
