Larnaca
Close to Larnaca there is the main airport in Cyprus. This is the place where usually most of the tourists see the island for the first time. The city, despite its long history, nowadays is not the popular tourist resort or a competition for Nicosia. The city remains an important harbour, however, not in the context of trade but tourism – Larnaca’s harbours are full of yachts and sailing boats.
Larnaca is an important Cypriot city, but still much smaller than Limassol. Close to Larnac there is a Salt Lake and still developing tourist resort called Voróklini.
