The old town
Larnaca is not the most beautiful city in Cyprus. The proof of its poor state is its old town which does not, even a little, resemble the old town of Nicosia or Limassol. The old town is not big and surrounded by empty stores. The old market was replaced by the open car park. Gastronomic part of the old town is represented by widely known, wstern firms such as McDonald’s and Pizza Hut. The only thing that may be called Larnaca’s pride is Laikí Yitoniá walk. Despite all the inconveniences walking around Larnaca and seeing its not many monuments can be really enjoyable.
